The Washington Township Board of Education is pleased to announce the conclusion of the Superintendent search with the hiring of Mr. Keith Neuhs at the August 18th board meeting. Mr. Neuhs will begin his new role in the district on September 1st.

The board would like to thank the members of the staff and public who attended forums in June with Robynn Meehan of the New Jersey School Boards Association, the superintendent search consultant, to help determine the district’s needs and the leadership qualities that would be most important in the new Superintendent. The public and staff input was very instrumental in helping the Board develop search criteria. Again, a sincere thank you to all who took the time to participate.

The Board spent many long and thoughtful hours reading applications and matching qualifications for the position, developing interview questions based on the search criteria and interviewing applicants. The board enjoyed having the opportunity to meet and speak with some wonderful candidates.

The Board is very pleased with the decision to hire Mr. Keith Neuhs as Superintendent and is confident that Mr. Neuhs will continue to be a wonderful asset to the Washington Township school district.

The Washington Township Board of Education would also like to thank Mr. Roger Jinks for his 7 ½ years of dedicated service to the school district as Superintendent. Mr. Jinks will be retiring on August 31st after a forty-three year career as an educator. The board wishes Mr. Jinks a long, happy and healthy retirement and will always be grateful for the years he spent striving to make a difference for the children of Washington Township.
